The inaugural St Kilda Live Music Precinct Friday comes alive 16 February

31 January 2024

Victoria’s first designated Live Music Precinct comes alive on Friday 16 February with more than 20 St Kilda venues to host local live music gigs on the eve of the 2024 St Kilda Festival. The St Kilda Live Music Precinct Friday program is supported by St Kilda Festival and presented by City of Port Phillip.

Coinciding with the iconic St Kilda Festival weekend, the abundant Friday night offerings are a curtain raiser to Australia’s biggest free music festival. Much-loved venues, including The Espy, Memo Music Hall, the National Theatre, the St Kilda Sports Club (‘’Bowlo’’), The Vineyard, 29th Apartment, Freddies and many more will host gigs featuring local talent.

Through an eclectic program, locals and music enthusiasts are invited to immerse themselves in the dynamic offerings that define St Kilda through a program of free and ticketed events.

Whether it’s the surf guitar sounds of the Vibrajets at the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, St Kilda’s take on Nashville country with Keep the Circle Unbroken with Row Jerry Crow at the National Theatre, or the high energy pirate punk of Burn in Hell at the St Kilda Bowls Club, there will be something for every music fan to enjoy. Spanning across genres of punk, country, jazz, and surf rock, the Friday night program includes established and emerging acts.
